Automator ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Fresh Take mobile application and website at freshtakeapp.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Fresh Take.
By using Fresh Take, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Fresh Take uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate recipe suggestions, recipes, and drink pairing recommendations. When you request a recipe, your dietary profile and meal preferences are sent to Anthropic's API. Please refer to Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com for information about how they handle API data.
When you share a recipe using the public link feature, the recipe content is stored in our database and accessible to anyone with the link. Shared recipes are not associated with your name or account information in the public view. You can stop sharing a recipe at any time by deleting it from your library.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Fresh Take is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
On our website we use PostHog to understand how people find Fresh Take and where they get stuck — which pages are visited, which links are clicked, and whether a visit led to a subscription. This uses cookies and local storage. We use it to improve the site, and we do not sell it. It records how the site is used, not the contents of your recipes, your fridge, or your account.
We advertise Fresh Take on Meta’s platforms (Facebook and Instagram), and our website carries the Meta pixel. It tells Meta which pages you viewed on our site and whether you started a trial or subscribed, so we can measure whether our advertising works and show ads to people likely to be interested. This uses cookies.
When someone subscribes, our server also sends Meta a record of that conversion directly. That record includes a cryptographically hashed version of the email address used at checkout — a one-way scramble that lets Meta recognise an existing match without us handing over the address itself — together with the amount paid and Meta’s own advertising cookies if your browser has them. We never send Meta your plain email address, your password, your recipes, your kitchen profile, or anything about what you cook.
This is information shared with an advertising platform, and Meta uses it for its own purposes under its own policies. If you would rather it did not happen, the controls below work, and Meta’s own Ad Preferences let you limit how your activity off its platforms is used.
A tracking blocker or your browser’s anti-tracking protection will stop most of this, and the site works exactly the same either way. Visiting freshtakeapp.com/?ph_optout=1 turns off both PostHog and the Meta pixel in that browser until you visit ?ph_optin=1 to turn them back on.
