Automator ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Fresh Take mobile application and website at freshtakeapp.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Fresh Take.

By using Fresh Take, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information we collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve the Service:

• Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored in encrypted form). If you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier and optionally your email address from Apple.
• Profile information: Dietary preferences, household size, ingredient preferences, cooking preferences, and drink preferences that you provide when setting up your kitchen profile.
• Recipe data: Recipes you save to your library, ratings you assign, and recipes you share via public links.
• Usage data: Information about how you interact with the app. This data is used only to improve the Service and is not sold to third parties.
• Payment information: We use Stripe to process payments. Fresh Take does not store your credit card or payment details.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Fresh Take app and website
• Personalize your recipe suggestions based on your profile
• Process subscription payments through Stripe
• Send transactional emails such as account confirmation and subscription receipts
• Respond to support requests
• Improve and develop new features for the Service

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

AI-generated content

Fresh Take uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate recipe suggestions, recipes, and drink pairing recommendations. When you request a recipe, your dietary profile and meal preferences are sent to Anthropic's API. Please refer to Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com for information about how they handle API data.

Shared recipes

When you share a recipe using the public link feature, the recipe content is stored in our database and accessible to anyone with the link. Shared recipes are not associated with your name or account information in the public view. You can stop sharing a recipe at any time by deleting it from your library.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Data retention

We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Children's privacy

Fresh Take is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Third-party services

Fresh Take uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com)
• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com)
• Anthropic — AI recipe generation (anthropic.com)
• Vercel — hosting (vercel.com)

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@freshtakeapp.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
